8 Yard Kilt Size Guide

Getting the right fit is essential for both comfort and style. At 8 Yard Kilt, we custom make each garment to your exact measurements. Please follow the instructions below carefully to ensure a perfect fit for your kilt or outfit.

How to Measure

A – Neck
Measure around the collar, just below the Adam’s apple. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

B – Shoulder
Measure from the top of one shoulder (sleeve joint) across to the other.

C – Chest
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level and under your arms.

D – Sleeve
Measure from the shoulder seam down to the wrist bone while keeping your arm relaxed.

E – Back Length
From the base of your neck, measure straight down to the middle of your back—aligned with your sleeve knuckles.

F – Waist
Measure tightly around your natural waist at navel height, about 2 inches above your hip bone.

G – Hip or Seat
Stand with feet together and measure around the widest part of your hips. Keep pockets empty for accuracy.

H – Fell Measurement
Measure from the waistline down halfway to the hip measurement line.

I – Kilt Length
Kneel on the floor, place the tape on the ground, and measure up to your belly button.

J – Height
Measure from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet while standing straight.

Measuring Tips for Accuracy
